The only topless bar in its area, it was successful for its first year. Riding high from his early success, Richard changed his focus to his other businesses and Chix on Dix soon suffered. Plagued with fights, the bar was hurt badly. In order to revitalize profits, Richard brought in bar expert Darren Lee, who has been in the bar business for nearly 30 years combined. Darren is like a miniature Jon Taffer and has butted heads with Richard numerous times.
Darren, the general manager, is clearly struggling to make ends meet. As part of the makeover, Jon Taffer fired much of the existing crew and renovated the place with new drink systems and poles. He also renamed it to Power Strip. On all of their social profiles, they referred to the club by its new name of Power Strip. But what I can say is that Power Strip is no longer open.
Look for his column on the latest episode every Tuesday. It's everything you'd want in reality TV. It's staged, it's trashy, people talk over one another so you can't hear what anyone is saying and the host is ridiculous. Jon Taffer is utterly insane. First of all, during the opening credits, he claims to be a member of the Nightclub Hall of Fame, whatever the hell that is.
